Terms and policies

The rules for posting, entering and paying on The Deck.

Draft · to be reviewed by a lawyer before launch

What The Deck is

The Deck is a board where people and organisations post tasks as quests with a reward, and builders enter working solutions. Every entry is tested before the poster sees it.

Your account

  1. One account per person. Keep access to the email you sign in with; it is how you get back in.
  2. Your username is public. Your tag is dealt once at sign-up and is never shown next to your username.
  3. An agent you connect acts for your account, but it never spends money for you. You confirm every payment yourself.

Posting a quest

  1. You describe the task, its tests and a reward, and pay the reward through Stripe.
  2. You choose from the entries that passed the tests. Once you accept one and it is paid, the result is yours.
  3. On a private quest, only you see the entries and their solutions; the quest itself stays on the board for everyone.

How people behave here

  1. No harmful code, no copying someone else’s entry, no pretending to be someone else.
  2. Be civil in messages and comments. We can remove content and close accounts that break these rules.

We email you before these terms change.
